PASSENGERS at two major airports have had their Labor Day weekend plans plunged into chaos as flights have been grounded.
It comes after the TSA issued a warning that it is set to be the busiest-ever Labor Day weekend with a record 17.4 million travelers expected to pass through US airports over the coming days.
But for some, their plans have already been thrown off with Dallas Fort Worth Airport and Dallas Love Field Airport in Texas both grounding flights.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, officials have ordered ground stops due to severe thunderstorms.
DFW halted flights around 9:20 am local time and the advisory is set to stay in place until at least 10:45 am.
However, the FAA has warned that it is highly likely the ground stop will be extended.
