HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- One person suffered life-threatening injuries after a mobile home fire in Huntersville, according to Medic.
Overnight, crews from the Huntersville Fire Department responded to a working fire off of Rocky Ford Club Road. When they arrived, they saw a heavy fire on the front porch of the residence.
Firefighters realized that a resident was unaccounted for and were able to find a secondary entrance, where they found and removed someone, officials said. Medic said they were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries from smoke inhalation.
HFD praised their firefighters for the strong and quick work with multiple obstacles in their way. There was a limited-access driveway with no hydrants close by.
