COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State’s campus will forever be part of ESPN College GameDay history.

In 1996, before Ohio State football hosted Penn State, Lee Corso made his first headgear pick by donning the head of Brutus Buckeye live on air. Nearly 30 years later, he ended his final show by doing the same.

Corso picked No. 3 Ohio State to win its Week 1 matchup against No. 1 Texas. In doing so, he was reunited with his first love, Brutus.

Corso’s pick ended an emotional final show. It also capped an offseason filled with tributes for, and celebrations of, the longtime analyst whose first appearance on the show came in 1987.
