The Baltimore Orioles officially released veteran right-handed pitcher Matt Bowman on Friday, per the MLB.com transaction log .
Bowman, 34, was designated for assignment by the team earlier this week. He then cleared waivers and was released to free agency.

Bowman joined the Orioles organization in August 2024 on a minor league deal. He made 15 appearances in 2024, sporting a solid 3.45 ERA across 15.2 innings. After the 2024 season, he re-upped with Baltimore on another minor league pact.
Bowman has been up and down with the organization this year, spending time with both the big league club and Triple-A Norfolk.
