BISMARCK — A van that carried North Dakota university golfers crashed into a pickup that tried to turn around on Interstate 94, according to state troopers.
A 54-year-old woman from Mayville, North Dakota, who was driving the van, one of her passengers and the pickup driver, a 95-year-old man from Linton, North Dakota, were taken to CHI St. Alexius hospital in Bismarck for undisclosed injuries, according to a news release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at 5:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 4 miles east of the Sterling, North Dakota, exit, or about 25 miles east of Bismarck, the release said. The driver of a 2017 Ford F150 pickup tried to turn around in the eastbound lane of I-94 at a crossover in the median, the release said.
