Narcan, a brand name for naloxone, is now available at all 10 branches of the Forsyth County Public Library, Forsyth County officials said Thursday.
Narcan rapidly reverses the effects of opioid overdoses and can save people’s lives.
The medication is free, and local librarians will provide kits with Narcan at each library’s help desk, county officials said.
