BRIDGETON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — It was a beautiful day over in Parke County, as Bridgeton hosted their annual Civil War Days.
With immersive characters, historic objects, and re-enactments, you are taken on a journey to the past. Many people came out on this sunny day to enjoy the history.
One station drew the attention of passing people, where they learned about the telegraph. A demonstrator walked his audience through how the telegraph was operated and its role in the Civil War.
One community member has been going to this event for many years.
"There's a lot for everybody to enjoy. come on down and enjoy the friendship, the hospitality, and the great things going on," said Rodney, a community member.
