McCormick battled through a rough night, taking a 56-0 loss to Lincoln County.

The Chiefs faced off against another tough opponent this week — after taking a loss to Strom Thurmond last week. Coach Leroy Collier said he told his team before the game to block and be physical the whole game, but they had their work cut out for them.

Collier remained positive, telling his team to “Try to get one percent better in walkthroughs, games, and everything.”

Michael Durant was able to help contain the Red Devils on the defensive front throughout the game. Quarterback Toquan Thompson was almost able to break away for a big run on a third down but got tripped up, preventing the Chiefs from getting on the board.
