As summer comes to a close and leaves start to turn, it might be a good time to check your trees for dead or low-hanging branches.

While you can trim your own trees, though, your neighbors' are a different matter. So before you get the chainsaw out, here are some guidelines on when you can and can't trim your neighbor's tree.
