The Arizona Wildcats kick off their season Saturday night against Hawaii, which is coming off its first win over a power conference team since 2019, defeating Stanford 23-20 in Week 0.
Zona kicks off its second season under coach Brent Brennan after a 4-8 finish last year. The Wildcats return quarterback Noah Fifita but will need to adapt following the loss of All-American receiver Tetairoa McMillan. Fifita threw for 2,958 yards, 18 TDs and 12 INTs last season.
Last week, Micah Alejado threw two touchdown passes and Kansei Matsuzawa made three field goals — including a 38-yarder as time expired — to help Hawaii beat Stanford. Matsuzawa also made field goals of 40 and 37 yards, with the 37-yarder tying the score with 2:01 remaining.
