BUFFALO, N.Y. — You don't have to be on land to get ready for a new Bills season.

First, there was the fourth annual Mafia Boat Parade . Boats started to assemble around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, and a fog horn signaled the start of the parade, with vessels heading south down the Buffalo River.

Then comes the Rally on the River, an after-party to the boat parade, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Buffalo RiverWorks. The family-friendly, all-ages event is free to attend.

Proceeds raised from the boat parade will benefit the Firefighter Arno Memorial Fund.

The Bills open their season the following day on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens at Highmark Stadium. That game will be on Sunday Night Football and will air on NBC and Channel 2.
