NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Nashville Public Library held a Repair Fair on Saturday, giving residents the chance to bring in a variety of items to be fixed free of charge.
The event at the library’s Richland Park branch brought together volunteer fixers who mended everything from electronics to clothes to toys, hoping to keep the items out of the landfill and save people money at the same time.
“Things that just might be nostalgic, or things that people don’t want to let go of where it’s hard to find somebody to fix it now, and it turns out that those people are living right down the street from you,” said adult library associate Ember Tharpe.
