AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Democrats gathered Saturday evening at the Amarillo Civic Center in Amarillo for the 2nd annual Democracy in Action.
The event was designed to benefit the Potter and Randall County Democrats and the Panhandle Democrats as well as to energize local and statewide efforts across the Panhandle ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
The event featured speeches from leaders and candidates focused on issues affecting working families, including mental health, education, Medicaid and Social Security.
Texas Democratic Party Chairman Kendall Scudder emphasized the importance of expanding outreach in rural areas like the Panhandle.
