When the intercultural exchange known as TvT Interlink International Choreographic Symposium comes to Vancouver this fall, the event will be both celebratory and emotional. One of the initiators of the project was the late Norman Armour, a major figure in Vancouver’s arts scene who co-founded PuSh Festival and died in 2023.
The public symposium will culminate in a performance by Sammy Chien-MacCaull of Vancouver-based company Chimerik 似不像 in tribute to Armour’s memory. The piece was developed in 2023 with Armour’s support. Even while fighting cancer, he was pouring his energy into championing artists.
