PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - On Saturday, the second day of the Pike County Bowl took place.
GAME ONE: Shelby Valley vs. Prestonsburg
In the first game of the night Prestonsburg faced Shelby Valley and won, 44-17.
With 2:20 remaining in the first quarter, Brody Hicks blocked a Wildcat punt and scored.
That put the Blackcats ahead 7-0.
With 30 seconds remaining in the first quarter, the Wildcats were punting from their 30-yard line and the ball went over the punters head, giving Prestonsburg the ball inside the redzone.
To start the second quarter, Alexander Johnson scored on a QB keeper, putting Wesley Hager’s crew ahead 13-0.
With 11:42 remaining in the first half, the Wildcats got on the board off of a kick off return.
