With a 15-yard strike to the pylon, freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood capped off a well-executed two-minute drill with a touchdown against New Mexico that will long be remembered as the first of his career.

But that touchdown was also a first for senior tight end Marlin Klein. On a wheel route, Klein easily beat his defender down the left sideline and snagged the ball that he’s since held on to — at least for a moment.

“I got the ball, but I’m gonna give it to him,” Klein said. “And you know, the kind of player he is, and it was really just his touchdown. And honestly, all I have to do is run my route and catch the ball. He had to do a lot more than I did, so I don’t want to take too much credit for that. Shout out to Bryce.”
