Justice Haynes didn’t disappoint. The junior running back’s big play potential, ability to get to the outside and top-end speed that was advertised leading up to the game, and put on full display during the No. 14 Michigan football team’s win over New Mexico under the lights.

In his debut for the Wolverines, Haynes set career highs in rushing yards, with 159, and rushing touchdowns, with three. He also had the most rushing yards in a Michigan debut since 1970.

Haynes was the spark that lit the fire from start to finish. He delivered a 56-yard touchdown on the Wolverines’ first drive then broke three tackles to pick up a gain of eight on the final drive.
