COLUMBUS – Arvell Reese backed up the predictions of stardom for him with his performance in No. 3 Ohio State’s 14-7 win over No. 1 Texas in its season opener on Saturday.

The junior linebacker had a career-best 9 tackles, had the first full sack of his career and the first pass break-up of his career.

“Arvell has a lot of versatility. He has all the traits to be a dominant linebacker,” Ohio State coach Ryan Day said. “What I saw out there today was a guy running from sideline to sideline from the linebacker position.
