How many more children will have to die? How many more children will have to die before our legislators do something about the terrible problem of guns? Let’s pressure them all, federal and state.

First of all, they need to reinstate the ban on assault weapons and make it permanent. Second, they need to legislate a requirement for universal background checks. Third, there are a number of other things: pass red flag laws, make stiff requirements for those who sell guns (whether under their own names, or names of other family members, as has happened right here in Western Pa.). And, in some cases, as in Michigan, hold family members responsible. Force health insurance companies to cover mental health treatment.

This is very simple and straightforward. It is not rocket science.
