AMES — On a day Iowa State scored 55 points, there are three that will be remembered longer than the rest.

Kyle Konrardy’s 63-yard field goal at the end of the first half in Iowa State’s 55-7 win against South Dakota broke a team record that’s stood for 33 years .

Campbell decided to attempt the field goal after a timeout allowed him to ask Konrardy what he thought. The kick triggered a celebration at midfield as the Cyclones made their way into the locker room.
