Josh D’Ambrosio powered the Manville offense with two rushing touchdowns and 123 yards on the ground in a season opener victory against Keyport in Keyport.

Manville (1-0) jumped to a 7-0 lead after D’Ambrosio rushed for a five-yard touchdown and a Jaret Quesada extra point.

Keyport (0-1) cut the Manville lead to 7-6 to end the first half. The Manville defense kept Keyport scoreless in the second half.

Manville got another rushing touchdown from D’Ambrosio, this time from 10 yards out, to increase its lead to 13-6.

Isaiah Bennett tacked on a five-yard Manville rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter to cap the game at 19-6.

Bennett totaled 104 rushing yards on nine carries in the win, including a 41-yard run. Colin Shimp had 60 rushing yards on eight carries.
