Labor Day is coming up, and this year lands on Monday, Sept. 1.

Labor Day recognizes the achievements of the U.S. labor movement in the late 19th century. During this time, American workers advocated for better working conditions, reasonable hours and fair wages. The movement led to a to federal holiday dedicated to the members of trade and labor unions.
