KINGSTREE, S.C. (WCSC) - The Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting at Upscale Lounge in Kingstree that sent several people to the hospital.

Investigator Jalisa Brown says the incident happened on Sunday at 55 North Williamsburg County Highway. As deputies arrived at the scene, Brown says they found a gunshot victim inside the establishment. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment by EMS.

Brown says they were then called to Black River Medical Center after getting reports of more victims with gunshot wounds that were sustained during the incident at Upscale Lounge.

Further investigation showed that the victims were reportedly outside the establishment when the suspect fired a gun from a vehicle in the roadway toward the establishment, hitting the victim
