DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers will try to avoid suffering a three-game sweep against the New York Mets on Wednesday afternoon.

The Tigers (80-60) and Mets (75-64) play at 1:10 p.m. at Comerica Park.

Catcher Dillon Dingler; infielders Trey Sweeney and Andy Ibanez; infielder/outfielder Justyn-Henry Malloy; and outfielder Jahmai Jones will be available off the bench. The full lineup is below.

Tigers right-hander Casey Mize (12-4, 3.95 ERA) will face Mets righty Clay Holmes (11-6, 3.60).

Mize is coming off a tough outing on Aug. 28 in Sacramento . The Tigers have won nine of his 11 starts this year at Comerica Park.

Holmes is in his first year as a starter, signing a two-year, $26 million deal with the Mets after four strong seasons in the Yankees’ bullpen.
