ALLEN PARK -- Isaac TeSlaa was back at practice after dealing with an illness earlier this week.
Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell said he expected TeSlaa to be fine and ready to go this weekend against the Green Bay Packers. And the rookie’s return to practice on Thursday is the first step in the right direction.
“He just had a little bug,” Campbell said on 97.1 The Ticket earlier this week. “I think he’ll be all right here. He’s coming into the building today. He’s been in virtual meetings. I know he feels a lot better, but we’ll see.”
TeSlaa is expected to contribute to special teams and should have a role on the offense after the Lions traded veteran Tim Patrick to Jacksonville.
