ALLEN PARK — Dominic Lovett feels like a kid living out his childhood dream every time he walks into the Detroit Lions locker room.
The seventh-round pick earlier this year earned his spot on the Lions’ 53-man roster and is set to debut in the NFL on Sunday as the Lions face the Green Bay Packers.
Surviving a heated competition for one of the final spots on a roster returning most of its production was no small feat for the former Georgia Bulldog.
He did enough to impress the Lions’ coaching staff in preseason, even after missing several days of practice dealing with an abdominal injury.
