Frightening video shows child on monorail track at Hersheypark in Pennsylvania

HERSHEY, Pa. (WPVI) -- Frightening video shows a young boy walking along the monorail track in Hersheypark in Pennsylvania.

According to a statement from Hersheypark, the young boy was reported missing just after 5 p.m. on Saturday after becoming separated from his parents.

While crews looked for him, the boy entered a secure area for the monorail ride, which the park says was closed at the time. Officials say the ride was safeguarded by a chained closure at the entrance and barricaded turnstile at the platform during the time of the incident.

The child remained at the closed station for about 20 minutes before he began briefly walking along the monorail track, the park said.
