KENT COUNTY, MI – Michigan State Police are investigating an early morning shooting on Sunday, Aug. 31, that injured three people.
Those hurt are receiving treatment at an area hospital. All are expected to survive, police said.
The shooting happened between 3:30 and 3:45 a.m. Sunday on northbound U.S. 131 between 44th and 36th streets.
Troopers are working to identify the suspect and vehicle that fled the scene. The freeway was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
The investigation remains ongoing.
