FARMERSBURG - North Daviess played a regular season game of survive and advance at Farmersburg on Friday night as the visiting Cougs didn’t lead for long, but a late fourth quarter two-point conversion was the ultimate difference in a 10-9 defeat of the host North Central T-Birds.

After playing mostly mistake-free and penalty-free a week ago in a 22-10 lid-lifter win versus Washington, the Cougars came out flat and fell behind 6-0 early when the home team swiftly forced a turnover on downs and then tallied a short rushing touchdown on their initial drive. However, the PAT kick was missed.
