MONTGOMERY—A new mural is going up in downtown Montgomery. The mural is the first part of a $100,000 effort by the town to improve the appearance and feel of the community.

Town Board Member Doug Meiring says the whole thing began with a vacant lot, a blank wall and some ideas from Indiana University.
