Drafted in the second round (33rd overall) by the Atlanta Falcons in 1991 out of Southern Mississippi, Favre saw limited action as a rookie before being traded to the Green Bay Packers, where he revitalized the franchise.
Over 16 seasons with the Packers, Favre led them to 11 playoff appearances, including a Super Bowl XXXI victory in 1997, where he threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-21 win over the New England Patriots.
