Monday’s $1.1 billion jackpot will be the fifth-largest in the game’s history, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game.

There have been 39 drawings since the last time someone had a ticket matching all six numbers. That includes Saturday, although nine tickets drawn matched five numbers, but were missing the Powerball number — including four in California.

Saturday’s winning numbers were 3, 18, 22, 27, 33 and the Powerball number was 17.

The largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history was the $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot won by Edwin Castro in November 2022. That ticket was sold at Joe’s Service Center in Altadena.
