DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — A young boy was safely rescued at Hersheypark on Saturday, August 30, after he was seen walking along the monorail tracks.

The ride was closed at the time of the incident, with a chain closure at the entrance and barricaded turnstile at the platform.

In a video posted on social media, there's a crowd of people around the ride as the boy walked along the tracks and a guest helped guide him to safety.

Hersheypark says the boy was reported missing around 5:05 p.m. While team members searched for him, the boy entered a secured area for the monorail. The child then remained at the closed station for about 20 minutes before walking along the track.
