HOUSTON (KIAH) — Heavy rain is on tap for Sunday, as a late morning storm is expected to bring about an inch or two of rain to the Houston area.
A round of thunderstorms are expected to hit the Houston area later today, adding to the rain that has came on Friday and Saturday.
The system will also bring some gusty winds and for those near the coast, more waterspouts – like the one near Galveston Island yesterday – will have a chance to form on Sunday.
The rainfall will allow temperatures to cool things down, dipping into the mid-to-high 80s. Nighttime should be very nice with temperatures going to the mid-70s.
The rain will taper off later tonight, and there is a slight chance for more rain on Labor Day, Monday.
