A British woman has been fatally stabbed in Cambodia, with reports suggesting she became embroiled in a love triangle.

Jessica Cariad Hopkins, 34, was discovered with multiple stab wounds in a park in Phnom Penh, the nation's capital, late on Friday night, according to authorities.

A 33 year old woman identified locally as Kidikila Nganda Glodie, believed to be from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Officials said she was apprehended at a hair salon situated approximately 1.5 miles from the crime scene on Saturday afternoon.

Police commissioner Chuon Narin said preliminary investigations appeared to suggest the motive may be connected to romantic jealousy, reports the Mirror .
