ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A teen was shot and killed Saturday in Belleville.

Police say just before 7:30 p.m. they were called to Memorial Hospital after a 19-year-old had shown up to the hospital with a gunshot wound. The teen was then taken to a St. Louis hospital for treatment, but died from his injuries.

Police say they learned the shooting happened in the 500 block of North 38th Street in Belleville.

Police said the investigation is active.
