PAROWAN — A Parowan teen who's been battling leukemia for the past few years recently had the honor of ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
Cade Hulet, 15, who was joined by his parents, grandmother and his two older siblings, was the designated bell ringer when the New York Stock Exchange opened for trading on Aug. 18. The family trip was courtesy of Make-A-Wish Utah.
When asked why he chose that particular wish, Cade said he's developed a great interest in monetary investments and how the markets work.
As part of the honor of Cade ringing the bell at the New York Stock Exchange that Monday morning, the Hulet family attended a special VIP breakfast prior to the ceremony. Cade was also given a commemorative name tag and personalized medallion.
