WEST JORDAN — Nine police officers have been placed on standard paid administrative leave following an hours-long standoff with a barricaded man in West Jordan that started as a domestic violence investigation and ended Tuesday night with the man being shot and killed.

Officers were called to a house, 1889 W. 7265 South, about 4:15 p.m. after receiving reports of an argument between several people, one of whom had a gun, according to West Jordan Deputy Police Chief Jeremy Robertson. A SWAT team was called to the scene.
