Local travel writer Gina Tarnacki attempts this arduous task in her guidebook “100 Things to Do in Washington State Before You Die,” published in May by Reedy Press. Tarnacki moved to Washington with her husband a decade ago after growing up in Montana and Minnesota, and living in San Diego after college. Her family now splits time between their home in Seattle and a cabin on Puget Sound.
“Originally, we thought we would probably just spend a few years here, and then head back down to Southern California,” she said. “But then we just completely fell in love with Washington.”
