SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

It's going to be another hot day across the Central Valley will more triple digit temperatures expected in the afternoon. More triple digit highs are forecast for the Valley on Labor day Monday. The Foothills can expect highs in the mid and upper 90s for the remainder of the holiday weekend with low 80s forecast for the Sierra. The heat makes for great weather for heading to pools, lakes, and rivers but remember to wear sunscreen, drink plenty of water take breaks in the shade, and wear a lifejacket.

Thunderstorm chances return to the Sierra on Tuesday with more forecast for Thursday and Friday.
