Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani , who previously worked as President Donald Trump 's attorney during his first administration, was reportedly hospitalized following an accident in New Hampshire Saturday (August 30), his spokesman Michael Ragusa confirmed to the New York Post on Sunday (August 31).

Giuliani, 81, suffered a fractured vertebrae, multiple cuts and bruises after his rented vehicle was hit from behind while he was attempting to help a woman who was a victim of domestic violence, according to Ragusa, who serves as his head of security.

“Mayor Giuliani was flagged down by a woman who was a victim of domestic violence prior to the accident. He rendered assistance and contacted 911, remaining on scene until responding officers arrived to ensure her safety,
