Shane van Gisbergen enters the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs with 22 points, but will it be enough to make it to the Round of 12? Van Gisbergen has a buffer to the playoff cut-line, but the Round of 16 has tracks that could be detrimental to his championship hopes.

Darlington Raceway could be Van Gisbergen's best track, while World Wide Technology Raceway should be the worst. The Trackhouse Racing driver has never competed at World Wide Technology Raceway, and leading it into Bristol Motor Speedway makes it even worse. Unfortunately for Van Gisbergen, 22 playoff points won't be enough.

Van Gisbergen will be eliminated alongside Alex Bowman, Austin Dillon, and Ross Chastain in the Round of 12. If he can find a way into the Round of 12, it will be the perfect situation with the Charlotte ROVAL. A run to the Round of 8 is possible for van Gisbergen, but he needs to maximize the Round of 16.
