CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Cincinnati Reds manager Terry Francona has seen both sides of the trend over the course of his managerial career.

Sometimes, a player needs a change of scenery. Sometimes, you acquire a player who needed a change of scenery and see them immediately have success.

“That’s just the way it is,” Francona said. “It happens everywhere.”

The latest example is Ke’Bryan Hayes, who had a .569 OPS in Pittsburgh before the trade deadline and has a .756 OPS through his first 28 games with the Reds. On Sunday, he had two hits and two RBI in a 7-4 win over the Cardinals.
