WACO, Texas (KWTX) – The Waco Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Friday afternoon, according to a news release.

Officers responded to the 10000 block of China Spring Road at 12:25 p.m. for a report of a motor vehicle crash.

Investigators said a green Dodge Ram was traveling northbound and turned west to enter a nearby parking lot. A silver Dodge Ram was heading southbound when the two vehicles collided.

Several passengers from both vehicles were taken to a local hospital. A 72-year-old woman who was a passenger in the green Dodge Ram later died. Her next of kin has been notified.

No arrests have been made, and the woman’s identity will be released at a later date.
