A 19-year-old man from Glenwood, Illinois drowned at the Lake of the Ozarks Aug. 30 at about 11:16 p.m.

The man was pronounced dead by the Camden County Medical Examiner.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol drowning report, the subject entered the water by unknown means and did not resurface.

He did not have any safety devices attached to him when going into the water at Public Beach 2, according to the drowning report.

In the month of August, this is Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F's fourth drowning, and seventh drowning total in 2025.
