NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Runners are gearing up for the 2025 Faxon Law New Haven Road Race on Monday.

This is the 48th year of the road race in the Elm City.

The events tomorrow will kick off with a kids run, followed by a 5K, half marathon and 20k races.

Travis Martin, a UConn grad is looking forward to running the race on Monday.

"I've never raced this distance," Martin said. "The furthest I've gone is 5k on the track. So this is going to be a whole host of other variables, including hills, wind and crowds. I think just knowing that those guys are going to do their thing and I just need to stay within myself and trust that I know what I'm doing, because I do, and see how I compete."

Registration for the race is still open but spots are limited.
