Police were attempting to piece together information from two pursuits Sunday, in which an LAPD vehicle smashed into a restaurant in South Gate and a woman was arrested on suspicion of grand theft auto.

“Not sure how that (the arrest) happened or how they found her,” Officer Charles Miller of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division told City News Service. “There was a lot happening.”

At about 7:15 a.m. Sunday, a police SUV was in pursuit of two burglary suspects in a gray Lexus in the area of Slauson and Santa Fe avenues, Miller said.

It was not immediately known when or where that pursuit was terminated, but the same LAPD SUV was involved in a crash with another vehicle in the area of Firestone Boulevard and Santa Fe Avenue in South Gate. The SUV crashed into Bobo’
