LEWISTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) -- A local hospital has been rated a "best hospital," Geisinger announced this week.

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital was named a "Best Hospital" by U.S. News and World Report, the health network said in a statement.

“This elite recognition is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our entire team,” said Sabrina Sumner, chief medical officer of Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. “Being named among the best hospitals from across the country affirms our commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.
