OCEAN CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- It's been a winning weekend at the Jersey Shore , as beachgoers packed the sand and boardwalks to celebrate Labor Day and the unofficial end of summer.
Families filled the beaches Monday, enjoying below-average temperatures and low humidity.
"The air is fresh out here, it smells great. I'm taking it in," said Aisha Young of Blackwood, NJ. "As you can see we're out here in sweats so we're not hot but we don't want to be too cold once the temperature starts to drop."
For local businesses, the holiday weekend marks one last chance to capitalize on summer crowds before the season winds down.
"We got some caramel popcorn from Johnson's. I came all the way down from Lansdale just to get it to stuff my face," said Joe Dedominic of Lansdale, Pa.
