PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- It was a beautiful night to be out and about on Sunday. The Chinese Lantern Festival at Franklin Square wrapped up its two-month run. Action News caught up with visitors soaking in every moment of this long holiday weekend.
"So fun, I've been wanting to come all summer long," said Patty Van Zanten, of Warrington, Pa.
The final night of the Chinese Lantern Festival lit up Franklin Square in full technicolor.
"That's why we had to get here," said Barbara Wilson, of West Philadelphia.
For many, it was the perfect sendoff to the summer season.
"It's awesome, and I'm a teacher, so this is my last hurrah for the summer," said Van Zanten.
Crowds filled the park, families enjoyed the holiday weekend, and even the youngest visitors were enchanted.
